Ancestral Connections is a transformative program that uses the power of traditional African music, rhythm, and sound to help individuals reconnect with their ancestral roots.
Ancestral Connections is an opportunity for individuals to connect with the ancestors that came before them—and live on within them—through the power of music.
Each session aims to awaken the connections of people to their ancestral roots through the power of traditional African music, rhythm, sound, and cultural experience. Collectively and individually, we:
Provide an opportunity for individuals to experience connecting with their ancestors as an integral part of themselves
Inspire a rich and vibrant individual understanding of self
Activate real experience of connection to and influence of their ancestors
Build confidence and positive self-identity of individuals and communities
A Journey of Sound, Spirit, and Self.
Guided by artist and educator Nyttu Chongo, participants are invited into a reflective, inclusive space where live acoustic music opens pathways to self-understanding, belonging, and cultural awareness. Through this experience, organizations and communities deepen their appreciation of identity, diversity, and the shared human story that connects us all.
